It's located on the west side of Cordillera Central of the Andes mountain range running through central Colombia, 26 km north of the departmental capital Armenia. In 2023 the estimated population of Filandia was 12,596 inhabitants.

As WE explore this picturesque town, YOU will be transported into a world of vibrant colors, stunning landscapes, and friendly locals. Filandia is known for its traditional architecture, which features brightly painted houses, intricate balconies, and red-tiled roofs. It's almost like walking through a postcard!

But Filandia is more than just its gorgeous buildings. YOU can also try out some of the town's famous coffee, which is grown on the surrounding hillsides. In fact, coffee is a big part of the local economy and culture. WE recommend visiting a nearby plantation to learn more about the process of growing and harvesting this beloved crop.
